Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors in recent history. Her powerful and vulnerable performances has made her a household famous. When she was a child, spending summers at her father's house and gaining an interest in theater. After studying in Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. After just two short years following graduation, she launched her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut on the world of film and television. Since then she has been involved in numerous films, television productions and stage shows. Her achievements have been numerous throughout her career including the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Her nominations include five Tony Awards and three Oscar Awards nominations. But, in spite of her awards and accolades, the theater is her main interest and she'll continue to play on screen and stage.
