Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 during an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi is an Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci who first came across Comaneci aged six. Comaneci participated for the first time at the national junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she became champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an the all-around junior champion. In her first senior competition in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and a silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world who used a double backwards salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in the entertainment industry in her teens in which she was a part of a figure skating duo with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a professional in the world of entertainment when she was a teenager. Her first job was as a figure skater, performing alongside her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
